After more than four years of debate, lawsuits and political fights over a proposed luxury hotel in downtown Petaluma, the developer behind the project is walking away.
Newport Beach-based EKN Development told the city earlier this month that it would abandon plans for the approved four-story hotel at Petaluma Boulevard South and B Street and was exploring a sale of the property, according to city officials.
