(KRON) — An intoxicated driver who seriously injured a bicyclist in a hit-and-run collision before crashing into several other vehicles Sunday evening in Santa Rosa has a prior DUI conviction, according to police.
Ovidio Pichinte-Laguan, 20, of Santa Rosa, was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and a probation violation, the Santa Rosa Police Department said.
Officers responded to multiple 911 calls around 5:33 p.m. reporting a hit-and-run collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist in the 2000 block of Pioneer Way. The bicyclist was rushed to the hospital with significant injuries.
