A 77-year-old man from Ohio has died after a crash near Calistoga. On Friday night, a vehicle was heading south on Silverado Trail, south of Dunaweal Lane when it veered off the road and crashed into a tree. The passenger, Vail Miller, died at the scene and the 77-year-old driver was taken to a hospital in Napa for minor injuries. The specific relationship of the driver to Miller is unclear but they are family members. The cause of the crash is still being investigated. The CHP says it was wet and rainy when the crash occurred. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor.
