Santa Rosa residents Dawna and Rob Mirante started their low-waste journey by replacing everyday items, like reusable grocery bags and water bottles. Then they moved on to trading in tubes of toothpaste for toothpaste tablets, single-use dryer sheets for wool dryer balls and ditching single-use plastic bottles for detergents, soaps and shampoos.
