Cluster of earthquakes strike California hotbed for seismic activity; At least 3 temblors in an hour

A series of earthquakes shook the region on Friday afternoon, starting with a preliminary 4.2 magnitude quake at 1:28 p.m., as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The epicenter was located 2.9 miles southwest of Cobb, 13.5 miles south-southwest of Clearlake, 13.8 miles north-northeast of Healdsburg, and 17.1 miles north of Windsor.

Following the initial quake, a second tremor measuring a preliminary 3.0 magnitude struck the same area at 2:23 p.m., adding to the seismic activity reported by the USGS.

Subsequently, a 2.5 magnitude earthquake occurred at 2:32 p.m., further heightening concerns among residents.

While no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries have been confirmed, these events serve as a reminder of the earthquake-prone nature of the region. Emergency services are closely monitoring the situation, urging residents to stay vigilant and be prepared for potential aftershocks.
