The Santa Rosa Police Department social media campaign geared toward locating missing persons entered its second week with another call for community help.
Monday’s Facebook post follows a similar one last week in which the department said it will start sharing the photos and last-known whereabouts of people that it considers missing, with the hopes that members of the community can provide tips and information on those people’s location and details.
So far, the department has confirmed the location of one of the people highlighted on Facebook after receiving information from the community, the department said.
The department has more than 30 missing persons cases, according to Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Patricia Seffens.
Authorities are hoping sharing weekly posts on a few of the missing, rather than one long list, will get more attention from the public.
In Monday’s post, the department again shared photos and information of five people considered missing.
Alejandra Martinez Camacho, 35, was last seen leaving her house on Arrowood Drive in Santa Rosa in 2005.
