Windsor Attorney Pleads No Contest to Grand Theft Charges

A Windsor attorney has been convicted of stealing more than $500,000 from a family’s trust he had been managing. Michael Voorhees reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and pleaded no contest to six counts of grand theft. He’ll be sentenced on June 4th and may serve a year in jail. Voorhees will also pay full restitution to the family. He was arrested in January of 2023 on suspicion of stealing money from trusts he co-managed with Richard Holm, a real estate investor who died in May 2022. Criminal complaint filings show that several of Holm’s family members were victims.
