Once known as the “Gravenstein Apple Capital of the World,” Sebastopol celebrates its heritage once every year with the Apple Blossom Festival and Parade. Since 1910, people from all over the Bay Area would come to Sebastopol by horse, wagon, cars, trains, and even airplane to see a different but similar event-the Apple Fair. While much has changed over the years regarding the festivities themselves, such as the first official annual Apple Blossom Festival being held in 1946, the joy and fun for local families and tourists alike has remained and only grown over the years.
