The 2024 Summer Olympic Games attracted over 1,000,000 visitors, teams, athletes and media to Paris for the spectacular and memorable event. While Paris is used to avalanches of tourism, this one became even more imposing. The strain on their infrastructure, the damage to public spaces and the massive expenses were incredible. Will they recoup their investment? Nobody knows yet, time will tell. But the strain on public resources was tremendous.
