A young fisherman was rescued after falling into the ocean off the Sonoma County Coast. Last Thursday near Ocean Cove Campground, a 19-year-old fisherman fell 15-20 feet off a cliff into the ocean, and endured 15 minutes of battering waves and rocks. Bystanders heroically pulled the victim from the water and brought him to safety on the bluff just minutes before the sheriff’s helicopter, Henry-1, arrived. Henry-1 then airlifted the victim via a long line to medical personnel in a nearby parking lot. Henry-1 would end up taking the man, who suffered major injuries, to a hospital.
