Suspect arrested for murder after road rage crash in front of North Bay pumpkin patch, linked to 4 other crashes

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. ( KRON ) — The driver accused of killing a woman in a road rage crash in the North Bay on Saturday has been arrested for multiple charges including murder, California Highway Patrol said.

CHP alleges that the driver of a Mazda SUV intentionally caused multiple crashes on Saturday, including one that left a woman dead near the Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch. The driver is also accused of driving under the influence.

CHP responded to Stony Point Road south of Rohnert Park Expressway at about 2:04 p.m. for the fatal crash.

One dead in hit-and-run crash in Hayward

Police learned that the driver of the Mazda was going southbound on Story Point Road when it tried to ram a Volkswagen SUV traveling in front of it. The Volkswagen was pushed to the left lane, driving against oncoming traffic. It crashed into a Mercedes traveling northbound, CHP said.

One passenger in the Mercedes was killed. The driver and a child riding in the car were hospitalized with major injuries, CHP said.
