Public Art to be Installed at Joe Rodota Trail in Sebastopol

A new piece of public art has been approved for the entrance of the Joe Rodota Trail in Sebastopol. The Board of Supervisors approved an art piece called Koan, made by local sculptor Bruce Johnson, which is described as a striking sculpture made from reclaimed old-growth redwood, salvaged from Northern California’s coast. The $25,000 artwork will be placed at a site along Highway 116, just south of the USPS Annex at 275 Petaluma Avenue.
