Low poverty, extreme wealth: California coastal county named best in the entire state to reside

According to a recent report by 24/7 Wall St., Marin County has been recognized as the best county to live in California, boasting an impressive average life expectancy of 85.3 years and an average household income of $142,019.

The rankings were determined using an index inspired by the Human Development Index (HDI), which considers factors such as life expectancy, education levels, and poverty rates.

Other counties in the top five include Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Mono counties.

The study analyzed data from 57 counties in California to identify the top 30 based on their HDI scores, highlighting Marin County’s exceptional quality of life.
