Nikki Garcia and her estranged husband, Artem Chigvintsev, are moving forward with their divorce, but it’s turning out to be quite the contentious fight. The fallout from his domestic violence arrest on Aug. 29 seems to be at the top of the former Dancing With the Stars pro’s mind.
Even though the Napa County prosecutors did not file a criminal case against the 42-year-old dancer because they did not believe they had enough evidence, Chigvintsev is claiming in new court documents that his finances have taken a hit. Per legal papers obtained by the Daily Mail , he has suffered a loss of income from the late summer event.
“It is true that I have not been able to find other work as a dancer. I normally start jobs in November, and it goes for 20 weekends,” the documents read. “After the mug shot and the arrest based on her false allegations, I was taken off the website faculty list resulting in a loss of over $100k in income.” It was just Chigvintsev’s teaching job that disappeared, he reportedly lost other streams of income, including “social media promotion revenue.”
