The historic Bay Area bakery known for colossal cakes and a world record

On an October morning more than two decades ago, a 6-mile stretch of Highway 101 was the scene of an unusual spectacle: a red Chevy truck transporting a pumpkin pie, over 6 feet wide and weighing 418 pounds, from downtown Healdsburg’s Costeaux French Bakery to the Windsor farmers market.
