2 Santa Rosa men arrested in firearm brandishing investigation

( KRON ) — Two Santa Rosa men were arrested on Wednesday after a victim reported that a person brandished a firearm at them before fleeing in a vehicle, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

The victim reported the incident at around 3:50 p.m. to police. Officers learned the suspect brandished a black semi-automatic handgun and the victim provided a description of the suspect and suspect vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was located in the 1000 block of Kenmore Lane, where Santa Rosa PD contacted the suspect, identified as Edgar Silva-Mendoza, 29, as he was entering his residence. During a probation search of Edgar, police contacted 31-year-old Frederick Silva-Mendoza, who was also inside the residence.

Frederick, according to police, was out on bail with a search and seizure condition in his bail terms. A firearm that matched the victim’s description, a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun, was found in Frederick’s room along with a second firearm, a Jimenez Arms .380, Santa Rosa PD said.
