PETALUMA, CA — Cattlemens Steakhouse, a beloved dining spot on Petaluma Boulevard North, will close its doors for good on December 31, 2024, marking the end of a 54-year legacy.
The closure follows the sale of the property, leaving the restaurant with no option to continue operations. Last year, city officials approved plans to replace the iconic building with a Chick-fil-A, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reported.
This Petaluma location was one of three Bay Area Cattlemens restaurants. The Santa Rosa location closed in 2022, but the Rohnert Park steakhouse remains open. Staff members have been offered transfers to other locations.
Locals have until Tuesday to savor a final meal at the iconic steakhouse.
