In a case that has sent shockwaves throughout Sonoma County, two men have been sentenced to spend centuries behind bars for their heinous crimes against children. On Thursday, Judge Mark Urioste handed down lengthy sentences to Giovany Neftali Barrientos-Perez, who will serve 500 years and four months to life. Bayron Vasquez was sentenced to 485 years to life in state prison. This sentencing, as reported by the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office, concludes a grueling trial lasting nearly six weeks and concludes with convictions on a total of 43 counts of child molestation against multiple children.
