Bay Area police: Retail theft suspects arrested after ramming patrol car

Cotati police apprehended two people they said caused a car crash in Novato while fleeing officers after a retail theft from Lowe’s home improvement store.

Bryan Beardsley, 34, of Fairfield and Danie Sieng, 38, of Oakland were being treated at a hospital and will be booked into the Sonoma County Jail after medical clearance, police said.

Police were notified after 3 p.m. Friday of an ongoing theft at Lowe’s, with a caller reporting that someone had committed grand theft — based on the value of the goods stolen — at the store earlier that day before returning to shoplift more, the Cotati Police Department said…
