Fraud suspect stole elderly man’s debit card at ATM: Marin sheriff

( KRON ) — A fraud suspect arrested last week is accused of stealing an elderly man’s debit card while pretending to help him use an ATM in Marin County, authorities announced Thursday.

The victim reported the ruse and theft to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office on April 14 after visiting an ATM in Strawberry. The unknown suspect pocketed the man’s debit card while pretending to assist with a “tap” feature at the machine, authorities said.

After taking the victim’s card, the suspect then gave the man “an identical card belonging to another person,” the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives later identified the suspect as Kevin Campos Anyoso.

Anyoso was arrested on April 17 with the assistance of the Dixon Police Department, MCSO said. The suspect allegedly used several victims’ stolen debit and credit cards to make purchases and fraudulent ATM withdrawals…
