( KRON ) — The Novato Police Department said a SWAT team served a search warrant Wednesday night for a suspect wanted in connection with a “violent homicide involving a firearm” in San Francisco.

NPD said police SWAT served the warrant at a home on the 400 block of Alameda Del Prado. Community residents had been alerted by authorities to stay inside due to police activity.
“Due to the serious nature of the crime, the San Rafael-Novato Crisis Response Unit, with support from the Central Marin Police Special Response Team, was activated to safely serve an arrest warrant,” said NPD in a social media post.
