Santa Rosa Teen Arrested for Attempted Robbery and Drug Possession in Petaluma Incident

Last night in Petaluma, an attempted robbery resulted in an arrest and added drug possession charges for a 16-year-old Santa Rosa boy.

According to a report by the Petaluma Police Department, at around midnight, officers were called to the 2000 block of Gilrix Street where a male juvenile suspect had allegedly tried to rob two individuals at gunpoint, then chased them when they refused to comply.

The incident unfolded as the victim and a friend were heading home, encountering the suspect who was acting erratically, and after a brief exchange of words the suspect demanded “Give me everything you got” however no weapon was seen and the victim, along with their friend fled on foot with the juvenile in pursuit, a chase that led to the swift response from the Petaluma Police…
