Santa Rosa contractor who left unfinished jobs, unpaid businesses sentenced

Cory Lacey, a local contractor accused of disappearing after leaving a string of unfinished construction projects, unpaid suppliers and employees, was sentenced May 22, resolving a criminal case the Sonoma County District Attorney filed against him in January.

“This type of criminal behavior by contractors in our community will not be tolerated,” District Attorney Carla Rodriguez said in a statement. “My office will make every effort to hold those accountable that deliberately defraud homeowners.”
