The Simi wine brand, with much of its 149-year history in Healdsburg, is now under new ownership as part of a major sale by Constellation Brands.
In a deal announced April 9, East Bay-based The Wine Group acquired Simi, Sonoma County-founded Meoimi, two brands connected to the Napa Valley legacy of the late pioneer Robert Mondavi (Woodbridge and Robert Mondavi Private Selection), two other labels, three related California wineries and about 6,600 acres of vineyards.
