Santa Rosa bank robbery suspect arrested Thursday

(KRON) — An alleged Santa Rosa bank robber was arrested Thursday morning following a year-long investigation, according to police.

Christopher McKusick, 54, of Santa Rosa, was identified by the Santa Rosa Police Department as the primary suspect in the March 21, 2024, robbery of a Chase Bank on Sonoma Avenue. Authorities said McKusick was identified through “extensive video surveillance review and digital forensic analysis.”

McKusick was arrested Thursday around 10:40 a.m. by SRPD Violent Crimes Investigations detectives in the 600 block of Administration Drive. Authorities also searched his residence in the 200 block of Doyle Park Drive for additional evidence related to the bank robbery.

On March 21, 2024, police said McKusick entered the Chase Bank at 2300 Sonoma Avenue and presented a note to the teller that demanded cash.
