Shein ordered to pay $700,000 to settle California lawsuit over shipping delays

San Francisco and other California counties reached a settlement with Shein that orders the global fast-fashion retailer to pay $700,000 in penalties and ship products on time as required by law, officials said.

District attorneys in San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma and Los Angeles settled a consumer protection lawsuit against Shein in Napa County Superior Court after allegations of illegal shipping delays, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

“California consumers deserve to have the products they pay for delivered in a timely manner, and Shein repeatedly violated that trust by failing to offer refunds when they couldn’t deliver on time,” Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley said in a statement Wednesday…
