(KRON) — A three-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon shut down two lanes on Highway 101 southbound near State Route 12. One car was occupied by a mother and her child in a car seat, according to the California Highway Patrol Santa Rosa Area office.

The incident happened at 4:48 p.m. The other two vehicles involved did not have passengers, said CHP Santa Rosa.
The aforementioned mother and child were taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures, CHP told KRON4. No injuries were reported.
CHP confirmed the driver of a white SUV was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and crashing into both cars.
