On Aug. 19, the Santa Rosa City Council will decide on a controversial proposal to build a gas station and market at the intersection of Highway 12 and North Wright Road. The city’s Planning Commission unanimously rejected the proposal in April, citing health, safety, and climate impact concerns. Developers have appealed the decision, setting the stage for a critical vote by city officials.
