Santa Rosa police say the man they fatally shot Thursday morning ran at officers with a gun before they opened fire.
Officers first responded around 10 p.m. Wednesday to a domestic violence incident at a home on the 900 block of Keegan Drive, where they discovered the suspect, a 20-year-old Santa Rosa man, barricaded inside a residence. The Santa Rosa Police Department did not immediately release the man’s name.
The man’s ex-girlfriend, their 2-month-old child and the ex-girlfriend’s parents were at the Keegan Drive residence, which belongs to the ex-girlfriend’s parents, police said in a statement late Thursday.
