Police in Petaluma arrested a man this weekend who allegedly stole over-the-counter medications from a local store, the department said Sunday.
On Saturday at about 1:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a man inside Target allegedly concealing several over-the-counter meds in a black duffle bag. The man allegedly tried to flee the scene through a rear fire escape door, but officers were waiting for him on the other side.
The 32-year-old suspect, who allegedly attempted to throw the duffle away into a nearby dumpster, was arrested and booked into a jail on suspicion of stealing over $900 worth of medications and having over 15 grams of fentanyl on his person…
