Suspected Felon Caught in Sonoma Valley After Intense Chase Involving Canine and Helicopter

Local law enforcement officers recently nabbed a wanted man in Sonoma Valley after a flurry of activity that included a backyard chase, a canine unit, and a helicopter deployment. On Thursday afternoon, Sonoma County deputies on patrol spotted 28-year-old Eduardo Arellano-Bravo, a suspect with an outstanding felony burglary warrant, on Sierra Drive. Realizing he had been spotted, Arellano-Bravo attempted to evade capture, which led deputies on a chase, and he was seen commandeering a bicycle reported stolen just moments before.

Deputies, including a canine unit and the aviation asset known as Henry-1, scoured the area for about 90 minutes before apprehending Arellano-Bravo. In a shed on the 18000 block of Riverside Drive, after one deputy spotted him jumping a fence, Arellano-Bravo ultimately surrendered.

Later that day, deputies responded to a burglary in the same vicinity. The homeowner had discovered a break-in and had a list of stolen items, which the deputies matched to clothing found in Arellano-Bravo’s possession.
