What do St. Paul, Minnesota, and Santa Rosa, California, have in common? They both paid tribute to cartoonist Charles M. Schulz with a series of public art installations featuring statues of his famous Peanuts characters. From 2000 to 2010, artists in both of Schulz’s hometowns painted and auctioned off hundreds of 4-foot-tall sculptures of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and more. This project drew tourists from around the world and left a lasting legacy. Join host Michelle Marques as she explores the history of this unique tribute, speaking with the artists and organizers involved. Plus, get the inside scoop on how a new interactive map is helping fans find the remaining statues in Sonoma County.
