Rescue training interrupted by an actual rescue of missing boy, CA officials say

A rope training exercise in California ended with the successful rescue of a lost 10-year-old boy, rescuers reported.

As 30 Marin County Search and Rescue team members finished training, a “concerned” mother reported her son had gone missing, the team said in a Saturday, Sept. 6, news release.

The 10-year-old boy, who has autism, had run ahead of her on a nearby trail and vanished, the mother told rescuers. He was last spotted on the trail above Rodeo Beach, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area…
