Local Writer To Publish A Wonderful Book

Julius Myron Alexander is publishing a new book, containing 78 pages of his famous “Brochures,” little essays of life, giving the philosophy gathered through the years of the writer’s well-spent life, each a gem in its own setting, and the whole forming an assembly in book form. Mr. Alexander, Healdsburg’s own writer, who has gained much note by his pen, states concerning this work, that it has long been his ambition to publish this book, which he regards as his greatest effort in authorship. These essays are well worth the reading, but the reader is warned beforehand that they are not so-called “light” reading. One brochure a day is plenty to read, and it must be studied as it is read to get the most out of it.

The thinking man or woman, the young man or woman who would like to improve his vision, his ideas concerning living, and who would welcome suggestions which are all too rare in this jazz age of frothy nothings, cannot help but be benefitted and learn to have a more wholesome regard for life and its ideals. Printed on 96 pages, on buff heavy paper, embellished with chaste initial letters and but a few suitable ornaments, the book will be a good example of fine bookwork. Bound in real leather, it contains an actual photograph of the author autographed in his own personal handwriting…
