(KRON) — A man was arrested in Petaluma Monday after he allegedly brandished a machete at someone who was confronting him over throwing trash into the Petaluma River, according to police.
A Petaluma Police Department officer arrived in the area of Water and Washington streets and located the reported suspect, identified as Todd Simone, 58, of Petaluma. Simone initially began to walk away from the officer and refused to cooperate, police said, before ultimately being taken into custody.
Simone was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for criminal threats, brandishing a deadly weapon and resisting an officer.
