Napa: Investigators Recommend Vehicular Homicide Charges For Woman Who Allegedly Fatally Struck Pedestrian Last Year

Police in Napa are recommending that the woman who allegedly fatally struck a pedestrian a year ago be charged with misdemeanor vehicular homicide after completing their investigation, the department said this week.

On Sept. 10, 2024, Napa resident Charles Corrigan, 70, was walking with a shopping cart north from the southwest curb of Soscol Avenue and Third Street, according to police.

Napa resident Eva Zuniga, 24, was driving east on Third Street from downtown in her sedan. According to police, it was 5:37 a.m. and she was fatigued and allegedly driving about 40 mph, twice the posted speed of 20 mph…
