One of Marin County’s most popular trails, which abruptly closed for repairs in July, reopened this week.
The Steep Ravine Trail, a lush creek walk on the western flank of Mt. Tamalpais off of the Dipsea Trail, was deemed off-limits and “very hazardous” earlier this year after a portion of it washed out, authorities said at the time. It wasn’t clear how long the trail would be closed.
But on Thursday, about two months after the closure, Mount Tamalpais State Park announced that a trail crew had “quietly” conducted repairs to make the trail “safely passable once more.”…
