(KRON) — Police in Petaluma said Monday that they have responded to multiple incidents of retail theft in recent days. Over $2,000 in merchandise was recovered across three thefts, according to authorities.
On Friday, a man identified as Leo Schlid, 44, of Rohnert Park, was arrested after the Petaluma Police Department said he robbed a Target. Schlid left the store with stolen merchandise and then pushed an employee who attempted to stop him, according to authorities.
Officers said they found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on Schlid after he was detained. He was booked into Sonoma County jail for robbery, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

On Sunday, Chaz Troy Burnett, 44, of San Francisco, allegedly stole merchandise valued at $699.95 from a Nike store. Burnett attempted to run from responding Petaluma officers and hide the stolen products before being detained, police said.
