Santa Rosa detectives find house full of stolen LEGOs: SRPD

(KRON) — A Lake County man orchestrated an elaborate LEGO set stealing scheme with several accomplices targeting Target and Walmart stores, according to Santa Rosa police.

On Oct. 13, detectives served a search warrant at 39-year-old Robert Lopez’s residence on Spyglass Road in Hidden Valley Lake.

Detectives discovered tens of thousands of LEGO pieces spread throughout his home, indicating a large-scale operation involving the collectible items. Police said Lopez’s living room was filled with tubs, bins, and desks covered in loose LEGO pieces, along with numerous unopened boxes of new LEGO sets. In the kitchen, thousands more pieces were scattered, and hundreds of disassembled LEGO mini figures were found with bodies separated from heads.
