Suspected Lego theft ring leader arrested in Northern California

(NewsNation) — A Northern California man accused of orchestrating a complex scheme involving the theft and resale of Legos was arrested last week.

On Oct. 13, investigators served a search warrant at 39-year-old Robert Lopez’s home, where they discovered thousands of Lego pieces spread throughout, as reported by local NewsNation affiliate KRON in San Francisco.

Police said the house was filled with tubs, bins and desks covered with tens of thousands of loose Lego pieces. There were also several unopened boxes of new Lego sets. Altogether, investigators ended up seizing over $6,000 worth of Legos.
