In October 2025, some Sonoma Valley residents who rely on CalFresh (SNAP) benefits are not receiving their usual assistance. This has led to higher demand for food support in the area.
The Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) has expanded its free food distributions at several Sonoma Valley locations. These include Alta Madrone SAHA, St. Leo’s Church, Sonoma Creek Senior Housing, St. Andrew Church, Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, and El Verano School/FRC. All residents can attend.
