Sonoma County Program Helps Over 600 Residents Stay Housed in Its First Year

In October 2024, Sonoma County launched the Keep People Housed-Sonoma (KPH) program to help prevent homelessness and support local families. The program has now completed its first year, and a review provides data on its activities.

In its first year, KPH received 1,857 applications. It provided financial assistance to 245 households, helping 610 people, including 254 children and 356 adults, stay in their homes. The program distributed $702,612 in aid, with an average of $3,029 per household. It also made 400 referrals to legal aid services to support housing stability.
