In response to heightened federal immigration enforcement across the nation, the County of Marin is expanding urgent support services for illegal immigrants in Marin.
Building on its longstanding commitment to equity and inclusion, the Marin County Board of Supervisors earlier this year unanimously approved a $500,000 investment to protect and support immigrant community members.
Through the Marin County Office of Equity, those funds are now being directed to local partners providing vital legal, financial, and community-based assistance. TheMarin County Office of Education and nonprofit Immigration Legal Defensewill begin offering free immigration legal services for Marin families and students, including legal screenings, representation, and removal defense.
