The City of Santa Rosa has received the Gold Designation from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Charging Smart program. It is the first city in California and on the West Coast to receive this recognition. The program is managed by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) and the Great Plains Institute (GPI). It recognizes local governments for efforts to support electric vehicle (EV) adoption and infrastructure.
