On Friday, November 14, the City of Sonoma and the Redwood Empire Food Bank will hold a Food and Funds Drive at Sonoma City Hall. The event is intended to provide food to local families, children, and seniors in need. Participants can donate non-perishable food or funds through a drive-through or walk-up option.
Food insecurity continues to affect Sonoma County, even after the restoration of CalFresh (SNAP) benefits. In October 2025, the Redwood Empire Food Bank assisted more than 1,500 new families.
