Two International Yoga Teachers in Sonoma
On Friday, November 14, 2025 at 6:00 pm, Sonoma Like It Hot invites the community to a free Satsang, a spiritual talk with Kim Tang, a renowned global Master yoga teacher. Studio owner Inna Vassina explains that the event, open to all, is a chance for the community to engage in a transformative dialogue on consciousness, self-discovery, and mindful living. Vassina adds that the studio will not be hot for the Satsang.
Bikram Hot Yoga Sonoma at 721 W Napa Street, was first opened in 2003 by Julie Shannon. The hot yoga studio has offered the traditional “hot 26 (postures) and 2 (breathing exercises)” classes at the same location continuously since then, under several different ownerships. In 2019 Inna Vassina became an owner in partnership, and since 2024 is sole owner. She renamed the studio Sonoma Like It Hot Yoga, and offers a variety of classes.
Vassina describes herself as “made in USSR, thawed in London, and baked in sunny California.” She was born in Siberia, and at age 11 her mother moved the family England. After boarding school in East Anglia, and university studies in London where she graduated with honors in philosophy, Vassina entered a career in finance, “crunching numbers” funding infrastructure construction such as airports, toll roads, schools, for public to private partnerships…
