Suspect arrested for allegedly assaulting elderly driver with screwdriver in Santa Rosa

(KRON) — In Santa Rosa, police arrested a man who allegedly tried to stab an elderly driver with a screwdriver following an earlier altercation. The Santa Rosa Police Department said it responded on Tuesday at around 7:15 p.m. to a call regarding an assault stemming from a collision earlier in the evening.

A Santa Rosa PD officer responded to the 2600 block of Bellevue Ranch Road to meet the victim, a 70-year-old Santa Rosa man. The victim, police said, was waiting for police near a damaged vehicle in front of his residence.
