Waymo has received approval from the California Department of Motor Vehicles to expand its driverless robot-taxi service to the East Bay, North Bay, and Sacramento, the company said Friday.
The permission allows the Google-spinoff company, owned by Google parent Alphabet, to offer robotaxi service across the entire Bay Area, northward to Cloverdale, and eastward to Sacramento.
