Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office Receives $768,000 Grant to Strengthen DUI Prosecution and Road Safety

The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office has received a $768,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety. The funding will support a team that prosecutes alcohol- and drug-impaired driving cases. The grant runs through September 2026. Its goal is to improve road safety by holding impaired drivers accountable. District Attorney Carla Rodriguez thanked the state for the funding and noted its role in addressing impaired driving.

This is the fourteenth year Sonoma County has received this grant. The team will also work with the statewide Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor Training Program.
