Caltrans has temporarily removed one-way traffic control on State Route 121 at the Yellow Creek Bridge in Schellville, Sonoma County. This change is in effect during the Thanksgiving weekend to accommodate increased travel. From 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, to 5:00 AM on Monday, December 1, 2025, the bridge will allow two-way traffic.
The bridge has been under one-way control since November 3, 2025, due to safety upgrades. The project includes replacing the 103-year-old bridge railings. Caltrans has finished replacing one railing and repaved the affected lane. Work on the second railing has not started, so both lanes are open for now. Normal traffic flow will continue during the holiday period.
After the weekend, one-way traffic control will resume as crews complete the second phase of the project. The upgrade is expected to finish by the end of February 2026.
